Climbing Everest has long been a dream of mine, but circumstance meant it was never possible. Then I lost my legs and then there was a ban on disabled climbers climbing the mountain, so the idea felt even more hopeless. Yet, I never let the thought leave my mind. I continually worked hard to make it a reality.
Whilst navigating my way on this journey I have met some wonderful people, one of which is Bryan Costello. He listened to the concerns I had around getting frost bite on my stumps and has worked tirelessly to innovate and develop my climbing prosthetic legs to include a heat source. There is no challenge too big or mountain too high, you just need to find the right people to help make it happen.
Thank you Costello Prosthetic Warmers and Turbow Prosthetic, the innovation and dedication you have put into helping me is outstanding. In reaching the top of the world I will be able to inspire others to climb their own mountains and your contribution to that legacy is major.
